The price of gold in the country's market has fallen again. In this phase, the price has decreased by a maximum of 3 thousand 453 taka. In that, the price of good quality, i.e. 22 carat gold has decreased by 1 lakh 38 thousand 708 taka.
Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced the reduction in gold prices on Thursday night. The new rates will be effective from tomorrow, Friday. Along with the price of gold, the price of silver also fell. The price of the hallmarked 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 624 taka.
According to the Jewelers Association, 22 carat gold bars will be sold at Tk 1 lakh 38 thousand 708 from tomorrow after the price reduction. Each load of 21 carat quality gold will be sold at Tk 1 lakh 32 thousand 398 and 18 carat quality gold at Tk 1 lakh 13 thousand 491. Apart from this, gold will be sold at 93 thousand 160 taka per traditional method.
The price of 22 carat gold bullion in the market till Thursday was Tk 1 lakh 42 thousand 161. Apart from this, till today 21 carat quality gold has been sold for 1 lakh 35 thousand 699 taka, 18 carat quality gold has been sold for 1 lakh 16 thousand 313 taka and traditional gold has been sold for 95 thousand 575 taka.
Earlier, the price of gold was increased on October 30. Then the price of 22 carat gold rose to 1 lakh 43 thousand 526 taka. That was the highest price of gold till now in the market of the country.
Meanwhile, after the reduction in the price of silver, the hallmarked 22 carat silver will cost Tk 2,624. 22 carat silver price has decreased by Tk 117. Apart from this, after the price reduction, the price of 21 carat silver is 2 thousand 496 taka, 18 carat silver is 2 thousand 146 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 610 taka.
