Arab Finance: Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, held a discussion session with Sebastian Reyes, CEO of Schneider Electric, according to what he stated. statement Ministry.
Badawi explained that the meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the areas of digital transformation in the oil and gas industry. Schneider Electric is currently participating in implementing the Egyptian petroleum sector’s plans for digital transformation, which contributes to raising the efficiency of operational processes, in addition to enhancing cooperation to use digital technologies in the field of measuring, following up and monitoring emissions.
He added that the position of the projects being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry was also discussed, the most important of which is the project to establish the Strategic Command Center for the Petroleum Sector Commend Center in the Ministry of Petroleum building in the Administrative Capital in light of the memorandum of understanding that was signed between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and Schneider Electric Systems Egypt “SEYE” during EGYPS 2022 conference and exhibition activities, as part of the digital transformation plan for the petroleum sector.
For his part, Sebastian explained that Egypt is one of the strategic markets to achieve Schneider Electric's plans for growth and expansion in the region. He also pointed out that the Schneider Electric factory obtained a “zero carbon emissions” certificate, which confirms the company’s commitment to sustainability and applying innovative solutions in its operations.
