Nuclear bases or oil reserves? What is Netanyahu's 'Operation Iran'; Why are Islamic countries worried?

It has been a week since Iran's missile attacks on Israel, yet Israel has not retaliated but there are speculations that Israel can break Iran's economic back by attacking its oil wells and oil reserves.

Exactly a year ago, on October 7, 2023, Hamas had attacked Israel and killed about 1200 Israelis. Apart from this, about 250 Israelis were taken hostage by Hamas terrorists and took them with them. The next day of this incident, i.e. on October 8, 2023, Israel attacked Hamas positions in Gaza and from then till today the Israeli army is wreaking havoc in Gaza. During this period, about 42,000 Palestinians have died and about 92,000 people have been injured. Gaza has virtually turned into ruins, where more than 60 percent of the buildings have been razed to the ground.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah terrorists, funded by Iran and instigated by it, have also been continuously attacking Israel for the last one year. Now Israel has started wreaking havoc on Lebanon since last month, while Iran attacked Israel with about 200 missiles last Tuesday. Since this attack, tension has deepened in the Middle East and West Asia. Israel has vowed to attack Iran but America has given strict instructions to Israel not to attack Iran's nuclear sites. Apart from this, there is also a fear that if nuclear targets are attacked, it could prove dangerous for the whole world and the war could take a terrible form in West Asia. In such a situation, the question arises that what is going on in the mind of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and what is his Operation Iran?

It has been a week since Iran's missile attacks on Israel, till now Israel has not retaliated but there are speculations that Israel can break Iran's economic back by attacking its oil wells and oil reserves because oil is the only source of energy. That is the game, because of which Iran has been providing money, weapons and training to rebels ranging from Hamas to Hezbollah and Houthi. Apart from this, Israel has its eyes on Iran's ballistic missile silos and its airbase.

Two dozen locations on target

According to the US agency report, there are more than two dozen such bases in Iran where Iran's ballistic and hypersonic missiles are kept and some of them are their launch sites. These locations are at a depth of 500 meters from the ground. A few days ago, Netanyahu had said in a warning tone that there is no place in Iran where it does not have access. The report said that there are stockpiles of ballistic missiles in the Kenesht area, about 150 kilometers from the Iraq border. Short range ballistic missile Fateh is deployed at this base. Apart from this, there are other similar sites in Kermanshah area, where Qiyam and Fateh ballistic missiles are deployed.

A total of 25 such targets are mentioned in the American report. Apart from this, there are 17 airbases and more than 10 fighter bases, which are Israel's target and Netanyahu can make it a victim in the very first blow. In view of this fear, Iran has increased the security of its airbases, missile bases and oil reserves. In view of the fear of attacks, Iran's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad on Sunday visited Kharg Island, the country's main oil export terminal, and held talks with the Navy Commander on security issues.

Iran in fear? Minister reached the largest oil export depot

According to Shana, the news website of the Iranian Oil Ministry, the minister's visit comes amid fears of a targeted attack on oil depots by Israel. Earlier on Saturday, an Israeli military spokesperson had said that Israel will respond in the right way at the right time to the missile attack launched by Tehran last week. US news website Axios also quoted Israeli officials as saying an attack on Iran's oil facilities was possible, while US President Joe Biden said on Friday he did not think Israel had yet concluded how to respond. Will go.

Let us tell you that Iran is a member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), whose production is about 3.2 million barrels per day or 3 percent of global production. Iranian oil exports have reached a multi-year high of 1.7 million bpd this year despite US sanctions. Most of its oil and gas wealth is located in the south of the country, where the Kharg Island terminal is located and where about 90 percent of Iranian oil exports come from. This oil terminal has the capacity to store 23 million barrels of crude oil.
