Bangladesh girls will play series in Australia-England for the first time


ICC has released the Future Tour Schedule (FTP) for women's cricket. The teams will play more than 400 matches in the 2025-2029 cycle. The current cycle of FTP, which started in May 2022, will end in April 2025. Then a new cycle will begin.

There is great news for the girls of Bangladesh. Niger's Sultana Jyotira will play the ODI series for the first time on the tour of Australia and England. Like the 2022-25 cycle, they will play in 8 ODI series in this cycle as well. Each series will have three ODIs. In other words, Bangladeshi girls will play 24 games in eight series in 2025-29 cycle.

In the previous cycle, there were 10 teams in the Women's Championship. This time the number increased to 11 by adding Zimbabwe. Each team will play 8 ODI series. Four home, four away series. In all, the teams will play a total of 132 ODIs in 44 series.

In March this year, Bangladesh girls played a series against Australia for the first time in their own field. They will play for the first time in the next cycle on the tour of Australia. Earlier they went to Australia to play in the T20 World Cup 2020. However, Jyoti never got a chance to play in England. This is the first time to play the series.

Bangladesh will host South Africa, West Indies, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka in the ODI series at their own ground. Will tour England, India, Australia and Pakistan.

11 teams will play more than 400 matches during this period. These include the 2025 ODI World Cup, the 2026 T20 World Cup, the first ever ICC Champions Trophy in 2027 and the 2028 T20 World Cup. Before the 2026 T20 World Cup, England, New Zealand and India will play a twenty-over tri-series.

Ireland, Pakistan and West Indies will also play tri-nations. Sri Lanka and West Indies can also host tri-nation series in 2027 and 2028.

Teams like Australia, England, South Africa, India, West Indies will also play Test series. They may join more ODI and T20 series with Tests. In the current cycle, the Bangladesh team is getting a chance to play 50 matches in ODI and T20. It is assumed that many matches will be played in the next phase as well.
