The second round match between Khulna and Barisal in the National Cricket League started after a day and a half due to rain. The match, which wasted nearly four sessions, was supposedly a draw. On the third day of the match, it was clear that it was heading for a draw. Barisal's Abdul Majeed scored a century in this lifeless match. Khulna captain Nurul Hasan Sohan used his 9 bowlers to take the wicket of Barisal. However, erratic bowlers could not bring success.
Khulna won the toss and went into bat in the match which started at quarter past three on Sunday. Nurul Hasan Sohan's team declared an innings of 408 runs for 9 wickets. Maximum 95 runs came from Enamul's bat. Apart from this, Soumya 63, Amit Majumder 67 and Sheikh Mehdi Hasan played an innings of 63 runs. An innings of 44 runs also came from the bat of wicketkeeper batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan.
Among Barisal's bowlers, Tanveer Islam took four wickets and Kamrul Islam Rabbi took two wickets.
Then in the last session on Monday, Barisal's collection stood at 28 runs without a wicket. On Tuesday, Iftekhar Hessen (18) and Abdul Majeed (9) went into bat with runs. Iftekhar was dismissed for 43 runs but Majid made his innings bigger. After playing an innings of 134 runs, this tested batsman of domestic cricket voluntarily retired. He finished his innings with 15 fours off 255 balls. Besides, Salman Hossain played an innings of 73 runs. Barisal announced the innings by scoring 287 runs after losing 3 wickets in 76 overs.
The Khulna captain has brought everyone in his eleven to bowl. Apart from skipper Sohan and Enamul Haque Vijay, everyone else bowled. Only Imrul Kayes, Sheikh Mehdi Hasan and Jawad Rohan got wickets. Each took a wicket.
