The young society can be connected to dengue eradication and awareness, said Shyamoli 250-bed TB Hospital Deputy Director Dr. Ayesha Akhter. He said, as they have transformed a country, if they are connected, change will be possible in this field as well.
He said this at a round table meeting on 'Dengue Outbreak: Awareness Action' organized by Jago News on Friday (October 25).
Stating that the health workers are relentlessly treating the dengue patients, he said that those who have immune system should be involved to prevent this disease from happening. Employees should be trained and supervised to work with it.
Stating that the number of deaths will increase if the number of infected people in the country is not reduced, he said, the more infected people are, the more deaths there are. But this place is not shrinking. So everyone has to work together for this.
Dengue corner is open in every hospital, he said, our hospital also has it. Come to us, we are serving. But in many cases the problems are aggravated by late arrival of patients. Also, many people are getting dengue NS1 test late, they are dengue negative. By doing this, they think that they don't have dengue or not, they stay safe. They are also suffering.
He said about why women die more, women are indifferent to these things, they are doing housework, cooking. Housewives are not even taking care of themselves properly. Due to this they come late to the hospital. Their death is also increasing. But if the illness is diagnosed quickly at the hospital, they can recover with proper treatment.
