Yes Bank on Saturday informed that it has been given a tax notice of Rs 2209 crore for the assessment year 2019-20. The bank has issued an official statement in this regard. The bank has received this notice under Section 156 from the Income Tax Department. This notice has been asked to pay tax.

After receiving the notice, Yes Bank informed that the notice has not affected its financial, operations or other activities. According to the bank, an order was received on 30 September in 2021 under Section 144 of the Income Tax Act 1961 for the Assessment Year 2019-20. In this, the bank has been given a refund as a refund for the income tax return filed earlier. In April 2023, the Assessment Year was opened by Income Tax.
