Ukrainian army claims to resist Russia's strong attack

Ukraine's top military commander claims Ukrainian forces are repelling one of Russia's most powerful attacks. This attack was one of the most powerful Russian attacks since the beginning of the war. On Saturday (November 2), the head of the Ukrainian army, General Oleksandr Sirsky, made this claim on his Telegram channel. British news agency Reuters reported this news.

In September, Russian forces began to advance faster than before. This is believed to be the fastest progress since March last year. Meanwhile, in August Ukraine annexed part of Russia's Kursk region.

Ukraine's armed forces are repelling one of Russia's most powerful offensives, writes General Oleksandr Sirsky.

After failing to capture the capital Kiev at the start of the war, Russian President Vladimir Putin shifted his focus to capturing the eastern Donbas industrial region. Donbas mainly consists of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The Donbass region has now become the main focus of the war. One of the biggest conflicts of the century was taking place there and thousands of soldiers on both sides lost their lives.

Moscow said on Saturday it had captured two more installations on the Donbass frontline. According to the Russian media, Agentsovo, on October 20-27, Russia occupied about 200 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. This information was obtained by analyzing Ukrainian open source maps.

According to Russian analysts, the war is now entering a dangerous phase. Moscow's forces are advancing in the east and North Korea has sent troops into Russia. Meanwhile, the West is looking for ways to end the conflict.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is visiting various countries to ask NATO countries for permission to use long-range missiles. With this permission, the Ukrainian army will be able to strike deep into Russia.

Ukraine is currently preparing for a harsh winter. Long-range Russian airstrikes have destroyed nearly half of Ukraine's power generation capacity. Due to this, Ukraine will have to face a difficult situation to deal with the power crisis in the coming winter.
