As a host on Fox News, Pete Hegseth portrayed some soldiers accused of war crimes as heroes.
Pete Hegseth, selected for the post of Defense Secretary in Donald Trump's government, has been accused of exploiting women. American media house New York Times has given this information quoting a 6-year-old e-mail of Pete Hegseth's mother.
In a mail written in 2018, his mother Penelope alleged that Hegseth had exploited different women for several years. In this email Hegseth's mother talked about his poor character.
This email was written while Pete Hegseth was going through a divorce from his second wife, Samantha. Penelope wrote in the email-
I tried hard to remain silent about Hegseth's character and behavior, but I couldn't remain silent as I learned how Hegseth made Samantha feel.
However, after the New York Times released this email, Penelope said that she had written this email in anger. He told that he had also sent another email soon after this, in which he had apologized to his son for the allegations.

use of women for power In the email, Penelope accused Hegseth of using women for his power and ego. She said she feels sad and embarrassed being Hegseth's mother, but it is a sad truth. He said –
You abuse women – it's a disgusting truth and I don't respect any man who degrades women, lies, cheats, sleeps with others and all for his power and ego Uses women.
Hegseth and his second wife, Samantha, are also mentioned in the email. Penelope wrote that Samantha is a good woman and mother and Hegseth knows this too. He wrote that declaring Samantha unstable for his own benefit is insulting.
Hegseth has been accused before too Hegseth had been accused of abusing women even before the emails surfaced. Questions were raised about his character after his divorce from his first wife Meredith Schwartz and then his second wife Samantha.
His divorce with Samantha came after news of his affair with his colleague Jennifer Rauchette came to light. Jennifer later became Hegseth's third wife.
Additionally, a rape complaint was also filed against Hegseth in 2017 following an incident at a political convention in Monterey, California. Hegseth rejected these allegations. He had said that the relationship was formed with mutual consent.
