After getting Senate approval, Kennedy will officially become America's Health Minister.
America's newly elected President Donald Trump is making appointments to important posts in his government. Trump on Thursday appointed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the next US Health Secretary. He will have responsibility for the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Trump gave this information by posting on social media platform X.
Trump wrote in the post that-
I am pleased to appoint Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). American citizens have been oppressed by pharmaceutical companies for a long time. The safety and health of all Americans is the priority of any government. Under Kennedy's leadership, HHS will ensure that everyone is protected from harmful chemicals, pesticides, and pharmaceutical products.
Donald Trump has won the presidential election 2024. He will take oath as President on January 20 next year. Kennedy had also claimed candidacy for the post of President from the Democratic Party last year. This time he also contested the Presidential elections as an independent candidate.
After being offered the post of Health Minister in the Trump government, Kennedy had asked to support Trump in the elections.
Kennedy Jr. opposes the vaccine
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is the nephew of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. His father Robert F. Kennedy was Attorney General. Kennedy is also the founder of the Waterkeeper Alliance, the world's largest clean water advocacy group.
Kennedy is known as a prominent activist opposing vaccination. Even during Covid-19, he had opposed the vaccination taking place in America and around the world.
After being appointed as the next Health Minister, Kennedy said that we have a chance to eliminate chronic diseases. He said he is looking forward to working with the more than 80 thousand employees of HHS. Also thanked Donald Trump.
Tulsi Gabbard made Chief of National Intelligence
Trump has given the responsibility of Director of National Intelligence to Hindu leader Tulsi Gabbard. He announced this after meeting Biden on Wednesday.
Tulsi will assume the post after the start of Trump's second term. She replaces Avril Haynes. Tulsi Gabbard (43) has been America's first Hindu MP. Gabbard began her political career in Hawaii at the age of 21. She was an MP from the Democratic Party 4 times.
Tulsi was earlier the leader of Biden's Democratic Party. He joined the Republican Party only last month. Apart from Tulsi, Trump has given important responsibilities to two more people. Florida Senator Marco Rubio has been made the Secretary of State and Matt Gaetz has been made the Attorney General.

Tulsi is sometimes called an Indian because of his name. Although they are not of Indian origin. She herself has said this many times. Basil was born into a Samoan American family. His father was Catholic. Mother was also a Christian who later converted to Hinduism. Tulsi was also a Christian at first but later she converted to Hinduism.
