Trump and I targeted Iranian threat: Netanyahu

Donald Trump has been elected president for less than a week. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he has spoken with him three times. He claimed that this time he is united with Trump and this time he is keeping an eye on the threat of Iran.

In a video message, the Israeli Prime Minister said that his talks with Trump were mainly held to strengthen the bond of brotherhood between Israel and the United States.

“We are looking at all elements of the Iranian threat and the dangers it poses,” Netanyahu said. We see great opportunities ahead for Israel, including peace in the future.'

According to a report in the Israel Times on Sunday, Netanyahu described the conversation with Trump as very good and very important.

Recently, Netanyahu gave the video message regarding the attack on Israeli football fans in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In this regard, he said, 'A clear line against Israel on the soil of the Netherlands connects the two anti-Semitic attacks. One is a legal attack against Israel at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and the other is criminal violence—attacks against Israeli citizens on the streets of Amsterdam.'

Meanwhile, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'or made similar comments linking the incident in Amsterdam and the investigation against Israel and its leaders at the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice. He said, 'In both cases it is dangerous anti-Semitism. Its aim is to make Jews and their country helpless.' Gideon compares these two incidents to the denial of one country's right to self-defense and the other to the denial of its citizens' right to life.

“In any case, we will do whatever is necessary to protect ourselves and our citizens,” Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a video message.

He further said, 'We will never allow the horrors of history to repeat themselves. We will never surrender. Not to anti-Semitism, not to terrorism.'
