A suicide attack took place on an army post in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan on Tuesday night. 12 Pakistani soldiers have died in this attack. Six terrorists have also been killed. The terrorists had come in a vehicle to attack the check post.
Giving information, the media wing of Pakistani Army said that the terrorist attack was foiled. However, the terrorists rammed the vehicle into the wall of the check post and detonated the explosives kept in it. 12 soldiers were killed after being hit by the blast. In retaliation, the army also killed 6 terrorists.
After the attack, the army has imposed curfew in the area. The search operation is going on.
There was an attack in Balochistan three days ago
On November 16, an army post was attacked in Pakistan's western province of Balochistan. In this attack, 7 soldiers of Pakistani security forces were killed. The militant Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack. News agency AFP quoted a local person as saying that 40 to 50 Baloch insurgents were involved in the attack.
During this, Baloch rebels opened fire on the army post. Apart from the death of 7 soldiers, 15 soldiers were also injured in the attack.
26 people were killed in the attack on Quetta railway station
There was a blast at Quetta railway station in Pakistan on Saturday morning, 9 November. 26 people were killed in this blast, while more than 50 were injured. The militant group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) also took responsibility for this attack.
The BLA spokesperson said the suicide attack was carried out by the Majeed Brigade unit. Their target was the soldiers of the Infantry School, who were about to go to Peshawar by Jafar Express after completing the course. Quetta Civil Hospital spokesperson Wasim Baig told Pakistani newspaper The Dawn that those killed included 14 army personnel and 12 civilians.
