Police have arrested some Bangladeshi nationals for running sex parlors in Telangana, India. A team of Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Hyderabad Police conducted a raid on Saturday and arrested them. However, the police did not give any information about the exact number of people arrested.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the Hyderabad Police arrested them on Saturday from Lakdi Ka Pul, a locality near Hyderabad in Telangana. Acting on tip-off, the police raided a local hotel Akshaya and arrested a 27-year-old customer. At this time, the police rescued three female victims aged 20, 21 and 22. Their native places are West Bengal, Assam and Hyderabad respectively.
Police said Bangladeshi national Salim Mondal (36) and his wife Maria Imchen lived in a sophisticated apartment in Hyderabad's Narsingir area and ran a ring of prostitution from there in hotel rooms 104 and 204.
Police also said that efforts are on to trace Suman Kumar Guru alias Ravi Kumar, the mastermind of the women trafficking network from Bangladesh. Police said a small quantity of ganja and mobile phones were seized in the raid. The arrested have been handed over to the Saifabad police.
