In protest against the persecution of minority Hindus in Bangladesh and the arrest of Chinmoy Das, the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission office in Agartala was vandalized by the Hindu Conflict Association. Indian media Northeast Live reported that the police force and TSR rushed to the scene after receiving the news. Local authorities, DGP Anurag Dhankar and West Tripura SP Dr. Kiran Kumar has reached the spot to supervise the investigation work. The situation came under control after a long effort.
The protestors demanded that Chinmoy Das should be released as soon as possible and the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh should be ensured. If their demands are not met, they have warned of a larger movement ahead.
