Henceforth advance permission must be taken for the pilgrimage of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This decision of the Saudi government was announced in the ex-post of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
According to the post, this measure has been taken to reduce overcrowding and stop irregularities. From now on it is not possible to enter Rawza Sharif without permission. And Rawza Sharif cannot be visited more than once in a year. Also the waiting time for inspection has been reduced to one hour.
According to the ministry, it will be easy to visit the holy places including Umrah in Makkah by taking permission through the 'Nusuk' app in accordance with the Saudi system.
At the end of Umrah, many people go to Madinah to visit the Prophet's fast. According to Saudi government estimates, more than 10 million Muslims have made the pilgrimage this year, which is 26 percent more than last year. 5.8 lakh men and 4.7 lakh women among the pilgrims.
Last year, the Saudi government built a protective wall around Rawza Sharif to prevent the mosque from being disturbed by the pressure of visitors and to preserve the historic architectural design.
