There was a clash between protesters and police on Srinagar Highway in Pakistan. This video has been released by Imran Khan's party PTI on social media.
The protest that started in Pakistan on Sunday demanding the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan has turned violent. According to Geo TV, hundreds of supporters of Imran Khan have entered Islamabad. The army had blocked the highway leading to the capital by placing shipping containers, but the protesters broke the barricades with the help of lifting machines and several heavy machines.
The protesters rammed vehicles on the security forces on the Srinagar Highway, crushing them, killing four soldiers and two policemen. 5 soldiers and 2 policemen were also injured in this incident. According to the report, more than 100 policemen have been injured in the violence so far. The condition of most is serious. Imran Khan's party has claimed that its workers have also been injured in the violent protests.
Article 245 has been imposed in the capital Islamabad to deal with violence. Orders have been given to shoot the protesters at sight. Pakistani Army has been given the right to impose curfew in any area to maintain law and order.

Protestors want to reach Pakistan's D Chowk
The convoy of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi had started on Sunday. They are moving towards the capital Islamabad. Their objective is to reach D Chowk and stage a protest.
D Chowk is the most high profile area of Islamabad. Rashtrapati Bhavan, PM Office, Parliament House and Supreme Court are in this area. Security has been intensified to prevent protesters from entering this area. Media persons have been ordered to stay away from this area.
Home Minister said – do not cross the border, otherwise any step can be taken
Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that if the protesters try to enter the high security zone, they will have to face consequences. He said that this area is already sensitive because Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is in Islamabad on an official visit.
Naqvi said that instead of D Chowk, the protesters should go to Sangjani area of Islamabad to hold the protest. They should not take any such step which would force them to take strict action. If they cross the limits, we will not hesitate to take any action.
Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said that the protesters had captured and held several policemen hostage while they were on their way to Islamabad. Bushra Bibi is setting this country on fire. She is provoking Pashtuns to get her husband released.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed displeasure over the death of soldiers. He has ordered to identify the culprits and give them strict punishment. He said that attacking security personnel in the name of peaceful protest is condemnable.
Geo TV has quoted sources as saying that Imran Khan has agreed to hold a protest at some other place instead of D Chowk, but Bushra Bibi has refused to do so. Bushra Bibi says that the protest cannot be held at any place other than D Chowk.
Bushra Bibi said in a video message that this march will not end until Imran Khan is released. She will keep fighting till her last breath. Bushra said that this is not just the fight of Imran Khan, but the fight of the country.
More than 200 cases against Imran Khan
Imran Khan is lodged in Adiala Jail of Rawalpindi. The local court of Islamabad had convicted him in the Toshakhana case on August 5, 2023. After this, he was arrested from his house in Zaman Park, Islamabad and sent to jail. Since then, more than 200 cases have been registered against him.
