Netanyahu calls International Criminal Court 'enemy of humanity'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called the International Criminal Court (ICC) an 'enemy of humanity'. He called the arrest warrant issued by the ICC against him 'anti-Semitic' or anti-Semitic.

Netanyahu said these things in a video message. This information is known from the report of Arab News, a pan-Arab press based in London.

Netanyahu said an International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant would not prevent him from 'defending Israel'. He said, 'Anyone's anti-Israel decisions will not stand in the way of my country's defense. We will not yield to anyone's pressure.'

Last Thursday, the ICC issued warrants against Benjamin Netanyahu and the country's former defense minister Yoav Galant on charges of war crimes committed in Gaza. Netanyahu called the accusations against him 'completely baseless'.

Netanyahu described the court's decision as a 'dark day in the nation's history'. He said, 'The International Criminal Court at The Hague was established to protect humanity. But today it has become the enemy of humanity.'

Incidentally, on October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked Israel for the first time. At least 1,206 Israelis were killed. Israel has been attacking Gaza ever since. As a result, the Gaza Strip has turned into a terrible wasteland.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, at least 44,56 people, most of them women and children, have been killed in Israeli attacks so far. UN agencies have warned of a serious humanitarian crisis in Gaza, fearing famine due to lack of food and medicine.

The ICC said, “There is substantial evidence against Netanyahu and Galant that they have carried out criminal responsibility for causing genocide in Gaza, which amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity.”

In contrast, Netanyahu complained against the ICC, saying, “Israel has been accused of a fictitious crime.” However, they are ignoring the reality of the terrible war crimes that are happening in Israel and many countries around the world.'

In addition to arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Galant, the ICC also issued an arrest warrant for the head of Hamas' military wing, Mohammed Deif. Israel claimed Deif was killed in an airstrike last July. However, Hamas has not yet confirmed the death of Deif.

“Arrest warrant issued for the body of Mohammad Deif!”, Netanyahu mocked the court's decision.
