More than 200 children have been killed in Lebanon in the last two months: UNICEF

In the ongoing conflict in Lebanon, more than two hundred children have been killed and thousands of people have been injured in the last two months. UNICEF spokesperson James Elder disclosed this information in a press conference on Tuesday (November 19). According to a UNICEF report, the number of children killed since the war began last year has risen to at least 231. British news agency Reuters reported this.

In the press conference held in Geneva, Elder said, only in the last two months, more than two hundred children have been killed. This horror is unacceptable to everyone.

He did not blame any specific party for the casualties, but those who follow the media at least know who is responsible.

According to UNICEF, the situation is heading towards a severe humanitarian disaster. The loss of children's lives is not just a number, but a priceless loss to their families and the entire society. It is conveying the need for a ceasefire to the international community.

The ongoing conflict is severely damaging children's lives, futures and fundamental rights. Protecting children in war should be one of the top priorities, say experts.
