Tamil Nadu minister Thiru Ponmudi was pelted with mud by local residents when he visited a cyclone-hit area. This incident happened on Tuesday (December 3). Indian media NDTV reported this news.
BJP leader K Annamalai posted a video of the incident on X (formerly Twitter) and commented, “The current situation in Tamil Nadu has reached a point where people's discontent is bubbling over.”
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister were busy taking pictures on the streets of Chennai, when the city received very little rain, Annamalai captioned the video. But they did not get time to look at the events outside Chennai.
He also wrote, public anger intensified today when corrupt DMK minister Thiru Ponmudi visited the flood-affected areas and was pelted with mud. This is a soft warning to the DMK about what is about to happen.
Several areas of Tamil Nadu have been affected by the cyclone and floods. Common people's anger is growing over the government's lack of proper preparedness to deal with the disaster.
This is the current state of affairs in Tamil Nadu. The CM and the Deputy Chief Minister were busy taking photos in the streets of Chennai while the city received very little rain and did not bother to keep track of the happenings beyond Chennai.
