Many vehicles caught fire due to the explosion
At least 2 Chinese citizens have died in an explosion near Karachi Airport in Pakistan. According to BBC, a Chinese citizen is also injured in this incident. The total number of people killed in the attack is not yet known.
China's embassy in Pakistan has called it a terrorist attack. The Chinese Embassy has also mentioned in its statement that many local people were injured. The embassy said the attack was targeted at a convoy of Chinese engineers working on a power project in Sindh province.
The Embassy has demanded Pakistan to investigate this attack and give strict punishment to the criminals. The Chinese Embassy said, together with Pakistan, we are making every possible effort to handle the consequences of this attack.
Pakistani separatist terrorist group Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the attack. The group says they targeted a convoy of Chinese engineers and investors.
