US presidential election winner and incoming President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday (local time) the appointment of his aide Ron Klain as 'White House Chief of Staff'. After Biden assumes the presidency, Klain will oversee the Executive Office of the President and serve as a senior advisor.
Joe Biden, who won the US presidential election, said, 'Ron has been very special to me for many years when we worked together. Together we saved the American economy from the largest recession in history in 2009 and later dealt with the public health crisis in 2014 (in the role of Ebola response coordinator).
He said, 'Her long, diverse experience working with people across the political spectrum and the capabilities are exactly what I want in the White House Chief of Staff as we face a crisis and our country. Need to bring together.
Klain said, 'It is an honor to serve President-elect Joe Biden in this capacity and I am overwhelmed by the confidence he has shown. I am excited to work with him… Let us tell you that Klain was also Biden's 'Chief of Staff' in (2009-2011), when Biden was the Vice President.
