Jharkhand Janamukti-Congress, BJP alliance in Maharashtra


Assembly elections were held in the two Indian states of Maharashtra and Jharkhand a few days ago. The results of that election showed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the BJP's alliance, won a massive majority in Maharashtra. However, in Jharkhand, the BJP's alliance was ahead, but in the end, the Congress and local Jharkhand Janamukti Morcha alliance India won.

According to the news of Indian media NDTV, the counting of votes for the assembly elections of these two states ended on Saturday morning. After the counting, it was seen that the BJP-NDA alliance got 216 seats in the 288-seat Maharashtra Assembly. In contrast, the opposition alliance MVA or Maha Bikash Aghadi got only 62 seats.

Other parties or independent candidates won only 11 seats in the 288-seat Maharashtra Assembly. In this election Maha Bikash Aghadi Alliance has done worse than the previous elections. In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, this alliance won 72 seats. That is, 10 seats less this time.

Earlier, the Congress got 44 seats in Maharashtra in the 2019 assembly elections, this time it got only 23 seats. Among the other parties in the MVA alliance, the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) won 21 seats. Nationalist Congress Party led by Sharad Pawar won 14 seats.

Meanwhile, BJP alone won 125 seats in the NDA alliance in Maharashtra. In the 2019 elections, the BJP won 105 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly. Shiv Sena (Eknath Sindhe), one of BJP's allies in the NDA alliance, got only 54 seats and the National Congress Party led by Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar got 34 seats.

On the other hand, the BJP-led NDA alliance was ahead in the early counting of Jharkhand assembly elections, but after the final counting, the ruling Janmukti Morcha and Congress alliance won India. Through this, the voters declared their rejection of the Bangladeshi 'infiltrator' and anti-Muslim campaign that the BJP has waged in the state.

The Janmukti Morcha and Congress alliance won a total of 50 seats in Jharkhand's 81-seat assembly. This alliance won 48 seats in the 2019 assembly elections. That is, this time the alliance got 2 more seats. In this election, Jharkhand Janamukti Morcha got 31 seats, Congress got 12 seats and Bihar-centric party Rashtriya Janata Dal got 6 seats.

In contrast, the BJP-led NDA alliance won 29 seats. Earlier, the alliance won 27 seats in the 2019 assembly elections. That is, the BJP alliance also got two more seats. Out of these 29 seats, BJP alone won 26 seats. The other parties of the alliance got the remaining 3 seats. Apart from this, other parties or independent candidates got only 2 seats.
