In this competition held every two years, teams from different countries like Egypt, Mauritius and South Korea participated in the final competition to make sweet food. This year's competition was held on January 23 and 26.

There were three members in each group. They are mainly specialist in chocolate, ice and sugar making. Their job to represent the country was to make three sweets. One of these is frozen sweet. The second is sweet of a restaurant, which can be specially arranged while serving on the judges' table. Another is exhibition chocolate.

This time the deadline for the competitors was five hours. During this period they use different elements and designs to highlight their country's food style and culture. The Chinese team has now created a complex dragon with sugar, and the Mexican team has added their traditional materials, including chocolate, corn, to sweets.

This time the domestic theme has also emerged in the clothing of the contestants. The French team wore a Bretton Stripe Shirt and Berett hat, and the UK team wore a New New Cap and B Ty.

This year's competition is held in Leone, France. However, the country failed to win a gold medal as a host country. This year's pastry World Cup is finally gone to Japan.

The Japanese team made their restaurant as sweet of lemon, pear, marigold and chocolate, designed in the shape of the leaves of the marijuana tree. As a frozen sweet, they made a rotating toy -shaped sweet with apricot. “We have portrayed Japan's history and culture in our design,” said chocolate expert Masarkari Hata. China was fourth in the competition, Belgium in the fifth, Italy was in the sixth, the seventh South Korea, the eighth Singapore, the ninth UK and Argentina were tenth.
