Israeli forces attacked children playing on an empty street in Mawasi, Gaza. At least 44 people including children were killed. In addition, the Israeli forces killed at least 31 people by attacking Lebanon overnight on Saturday (November 9). Among them were six Lebanese rescue workers and three Palestinian prisoners who were killed shortly after being released. Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this news.
Displaced families took shelter in a school in Gaza City, health officials said. At least six people, including two journalists, were killed in the attack on the school. In addition, two people were killed inside a tent at al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced after the Israeli military ordered residents to evacuate to other areas in the southern coastal town of Mawasi.
Children were playing in the empty streets when the attack took place. There was no one else. There were only children who died yesterday.
The Palestinian Health Authority reported that 43,552 civilians were killed in the Israeli military operation in Gaza. At least 10,000 people were buried under the rubble.
There was no immediate response from the Israeli military on Saturday for comment on the attack on the shelter area. Israel claims that Hamas fighters hide among civilians and attack them when they are seen. Hamas denies the allegations.
