A 23-year-old Indian student has died after being accidentally shot by his hunting gun in the US.
According to an NDTV report, the incident took place on November 13. Indian student Aryan Reddy was celebrating his birthday with friends at his home in Atlanta, Georgia.
During the celebration, Reddy took out his new hunting gun for cleaning. However, one bullet hit the chest by accident, officials said.
Hearing the gunshots, Reddy's friends, who were in another room, rushed to his room and found him covered in blood. Friends rushed him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Reddy was a second-year Master of Science student at Kansas State University, Atlanta. He was a resident of Bhuvangiri district of Telangana state, India. But currently his family lives in Uppal district.
Local officials said that Aryan Reddy's body will be sent home on Saturday night.
