Many Canadian MPs have shared the video of the attack on the Hindu temple on their X handles.
Khalistani supporters attacked people who came to the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton, Canada. The attackers had Khalistani flags in their hands. They attacked the people present in the temple with sticks. The video of the incident is viral on social media.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's statement on the incident came on Monday. He said- The violence that took place today at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton cannot be accepted. Every Canadian has the right to practice his or her religion freely and safely.
Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre said such attacks are completely unacceptable. All Canadians should practice their religion in peace.
There is tension in the area after the incident. Police have been deployed in large numbers. Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraippa has appealed to the public to exercise restraint. Also said that violence and criminality will not be tolerated.
