After this, his body was taken to Cuba in 1795 and finally his body was buried in Seville, Spain in 1898. Due to his body being taken to many places, it is not clear where he was during his last days.

Research done from DNA of Columbus and his son Lorente told that he had a DNA sample of Columbus. Apart from this, he did this research with the DNA sample of Columbus's son Hernando Colon. Hernando's DNA has signs of Jewish origin.
