America's newly elected President Donald Trump said that a ceasefire agreement has been reached in Gaza. He said on social media – We have an agreement for hostages in the Middle East. He will be released soon.
According to Al Jazeera's report, Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani met representatives of Hamas and Israel on Wednesday, after which the deal was completed.

After 15 days, Hamas will release the remaining hostages. Meanwhile, both sides will talk about permanent ceasefire.
Deal brokered by Qatar and America This agreement was negotiated in Doha, the capital of Qatar, with the help of Egypt, Qatar and America. Israel was represented by Mossad Chief David Barnia and Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar. At the same time, Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff and Biden's envoy Brett McGurk were present here from the US side.

Palestinian citizens will return to North Gaza According to CNN report, under the ceasefire deal, Israel will allow Palestinian citizens displaced from North Gaza to return. However, for security reasons the presence of Israeli soldiers may remain in this area.
A buffer zone will be created between Gaza and Israel. Both Israel and Hamas have different demands regarding the buffer zone. Israel is demanding a buffer zone of 2 km from the border, while Hamas wants a buffer zone of 300 to 500 meters as before October 2023. On the other hand, Israel has refused to return the dead body of Hamas Chief Yahya Sinwar under the deal.
