China-Japan signed 10 exchange agreements


The second high-level consultation meeting on China-Japan people-to-people and cultural exchange was held in Beijing. The meeting was attended by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya. In Wednesday's meeting, 10 important agreements were signed for the development of people-to-people and cultural exchange between the two countries.

The agreements include increasing youth exchanges and educational visits, strengthening cooperation in the field of education and establishing links between schools and higher education institutions. Apart from this, it is planned to take facilitation measures to promote the tourism industry and increase friendly relations between the cities.

Both countries also agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fields of sports, culture, entertainment, media, and research. An agreement was also reached on the exchange of experience in the development of women and establishing the World Fair to be held in Osaka, Japan in 2025 as a forum for friendship.

Wang Yi said that by learning from history, the foundation of peace and stability must be strengthened to move China-Japan relations forward into the future. Japanese Foreign Minister Iwaya said that they will work together to improve people and cultural exchange projects between the two countries.
