NDA meeting is going on at the house of Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding Maharashtra Assembly elections. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar have also attended this meeting.

This meeting of the top leadership of the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra has taken place at a time when talks regarding seat sharing are at a crucial juncture.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) are trying to retain power in the state assembly elections to be held on November 20.

It is expected that the three parties will finalize the seat sharing formula for the elections during the meeting. The BJP held its Central Election Committee meeting on Wednesday and finalized the names of 100 candidates for the Maharashtra elections.

UPSC on Friday postponed the Engineering Services Examination-2025 to give candidates adequate time to prepare following a change in the scheme for the recruitment of Indian Railway Management Service officers. This information was given in an official statement.

UPSC has said in the statement that ESE (Prelims) 2025 and ESE (Mains) 2025 will now be conducted on 8 June 2025 and 10 August 2025.
