The Mahayuti government is set to return to power in India's Maharashtra. On the other hand, Hemant Soren made history by breaking tradition in Jharkhand. Since Saturday (November 23) morning, the entire country was watching the results of the assembly elections of these two states. Besides, the results of the by-elections held in various states including Bihar, Rajasthan, Punjab, Kerala have also come forward.
All eyes were also on Kerala's heavyweight Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi is going to get a big lead from this seat. Like mother Sonia and elder brother Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi is also going to become a member of parliament. In the Lok Sabha polls, Rahul won from Rae Barili in Uttar Pradesh and Waynad in Kerala. After leaving the Waynad center, Priyanka became a candidate for the first time in her life in the by-election there.
Priyanka's victory was never in doubt. But the interest was whether he would win by getting more votes than Rahul. Counting of votes till 4 pm showed Priyanka ahead of her two nearest rivals by more than 4 lakh.
It is clear from the results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections today that Mahayuti has raised a tsunami in Maharashtra. MVA has taken a big blow in the state.
