From now on, any type of cooking using fire such as grills or barbecues will not be allowed in the parks. He urged everyone to be aware to reduce the risk of isolated fire or wildfire.
The Mayor said, in this situation, everyone should work together and try to conserve water as much as possible.
According to city authorities, 120 bush fires have been reported across the city in the last 10 days. At least two of these occurred in Van Cortlandt Park. Last week, a fire broke out in this park, which damaged about 5 acres of land.

Due to these fires, the weather condition of the city is getting worse. In this situation, fireworks are banned everywhere in the city. Apart from this, electricity connection from the road has been prohibited to illuminate any event.
Also, extra caution is advised when welding or doing other fire work, especially near dry grass or leaves.
Apart from this, smoking has been banned in five major areas of the city under construction. The mayor also warned the residents of the city to be aware of the air quality.
