This footage of the attack on the Pakistani Army has been released by BLA. However, it has not been confirmed yet.
10 Pakistani troops were killed in an attack by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province of Pakistan. BLA issued a statement on Friday and claimed responsibility for the attack.
BLA said that its Freedom Fighters have targeted the Pakistani Army convoy through a remote controlled IED. This attack is part of our freedom struggle.
According to the news agency AFP, the military convoy was targeted near the Ugat Chowki from Quetta. BLA said that our operation against the enemy will continue rapidly.
Bla had a train hijack in Quetta last month
The Baloch Liberation Army attacked and hijacked the Jafar Express in Quetta, Balochistan last month. There were about 450 passenger on the train. BLA had demanded unconditional release of jailed Baloch activists, political prisoners, missing people, fighters and separatists.
This was followed by 48 hours of fighting between the Pakistani Army and Baloch fighters. The Pakistani Army claimed that 33 Baloch fighters were killed and all the hostages were released. While Baloch fighters claimed to have killed 100 Pakistani soldiers.
This video was said to be during the attack of Baloch fighters on social media. However, this was not confirmed.
What is Baloch Liberation Army Many people in Balochistan believe that they wanted to live as an independent country after India-Pakistan partition, but they were included in Pakistan without their will. Because of this, the struggle of the army and people in Balochistan continues even today.
The main demand of BLA is to separate from Pakistan and form the Balochistan country. There are many organizations demanding independence in Balochistan. Among them, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) is the most powerful organization. The organization came into existence in the 70s, but its impact has increased in the 21st century.
Bla wants to liberate Balochistan from the Pakistani government and China. He believes that he has the right to the resources of Balochistan. The Pakistan government included the Baloch Liberation Army in the list of terrorist organizations in 2007.
Pakistan at number two in Global Terrorism Index In 2025, Pakistan was described as the second most terror -affected country in the world in 2025, the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) report released by Sydney -based Institute for Economics and Peace.
According to the report, Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are the most terror -affected areas. Out of the total terrorist incidents across the country, 90% occurred in this area.
In the report, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan was described as Pakistan's most dangerous terrorist organization for the second consecutive year. In 2024, the group carried out 482 attacks, causing 558 deaths, which is 91% higher than in 2023.
