American intelligence agencies have asked defense companies to increase security. Intelligence agencies have expressed fear of harm or other threat to defense companies from Russia. This warning has been issued after the recent incidents of vandalism in Europe. Russia was held responsible for these incidents.
In this warning issued by the National Counter Intelligence and Security Center, those companies which are providing weapons against Russia in the Ukraine war have been asked to be cautious. Apart from this, American companies which do production work in other countries have also been asked to be cautious.
Russia can also harm the business of these companies. Besides, attempts can also be made to murder people associated with them.
'Russia has a hand in harming Europe's defense companies'
According to US and European intelligence officials, Russia has recently carried out incidents of sabotage targeting European defense companies, logistics and military bases. According to officials, Russia hires criminals to carry out these incidents.
According to officials, Russia was also involved in arson incidents in Britain and Poland. Earlier this month, intelligence officials accused the group of smuggling incendiary devices via cargo planes bound for North America.
The major incidents in which Russia has been accused include arson at a courier hub in Germany and a warehouse in Britain.
Russia puts American base in Poland in target list
Russia said on Friday that it has included America's new base in Poland in its list of possible targets. The Russian Foreign Ministry posted this information on Twitter. This airbase is in Redjikbo near the Baltic coast. NATO has deployed air defense system here. This base was officially launched on 13 November.
Although NATO has been claiming that this base is only for defense. But Russia has been calling it a threat to its security.
