Administration working with FBI: Biden

President Biden said the administration is working with the FBI to take action against threats to attack US politicians. He made these comments on Friday (November 29) after threats against some members of President-elect Trump's cabinet and some lawmakers emerged this week. British news agency Reuters reported this.

Representative Seth Magaziner, a Democrat from Rhode Island, said Friday that he received a bomb threat at his home. A day earlier, six Connecticut Democratic lawmakers received similar threats at their homes on Thanksgiving Day.

Law enforcement agencies said no explosives were found in any of the incidents.

Trump's Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth and Environmental Protection Agency head nominee Lee Zeldin have been bombed and swatted. These incidents happened on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Swatting is the act of creating fear and chaos by making false allegations to the police, so that armed police teams raid the homes of certain individuals. According to law enforcement experts, this is a harassing activity being used against influential people.

Democrat Hakeem Jeffries said, Democrats are committed to serving the people. They cannot be intimidated.

In July, there was an assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania. Then in September, a man accused of standing outside Trump's golf club in Florida with a rifle was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Biden told reporters in Nantucket, Massachusetts on Friday that he would like to speak face-to-face with Trump again.
