A case of a woman roaming naked has come to light in Iran's capital Tehran. According to news agency AFP, this incident happened on Saturday at Azad University of Science and Research in Tehran. Here a university student took off her clothes in protest against sexual harassment.

Shortly after roaming naked, the Iranian police arrested the student. According to Iranian newsletter Amir Kabir, the student was also beaten during her arrest. The video of this incident is also going viral on social media. In the video, the student can be seen roaming around the university.

University spokesperson Amir Mahjob posted on X and said that the student is not mentally well. He is under mental pressure and has mental illness.

Claim- Student's hijab and clothes were pulled

It is being claimed in many media reports that the student was misbehaved by the members of Basij Militia. Her hijab and clothes were pulled.

In fact, a strict dress code has been implemented in Iran regarding women's clothing. According to this, it is mandatory for women to wear hijab and loose clothes in public places. In such a situation, this step of the student is being seen as raising voice against the power of Iran.

On the other hand, Iran's state media Fars News Agency claimed that the student was wearing inappropriate clothes. After this, when the security guards warned the student, the student took off her clothes. According to government media, the guards spoke peacefully.

Anti-hijab protests took place in 2022

In 2022, 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, a resident of Kurdistan province in Iran, died in police custody. Amini was arrested by Iran's morality police for not wearing the hijab properly.

After his arrest, while taking him to the detention center, the Morality Police tore Amini's clothes and beat him up. After this Amini died in the hospital. After the death, there were demonstrations against the morality police from Kurdistan to Tehran.

A large number of people attended Amini's funeral. The women attending the funeral had taken off their hijabs in protest. During the protest against hijab, many women even cut their hair. Due to this protest, 551 people died and thousands of people were arrested.

After almost 3 months of protests, the Iranian government had decided to abolish the morality police.
