8 killed in school stabbing in eastern China

Eight people have been killed and 17 injured in a stabbing outside a school in eastern China. According to the local police, the incident happened at Ising Arts and Crafts Vocational and Technical College in Wuxi city at around 6:30 pm local time on Saturday (November 16). British media reported the news.

The 21-year-old suspect has been arrested. According to the police, he took the graduation exam from the institution in 2024. But did not get the diploma due to poor results in the examination. As a result, the internship gets paid less. And he was unhappy about it.

According to the police, the accused confessed to his crime 'without any hesitation'.

The incident is under investigation and further management is being worked on, police said.

Days before the attack, at least 35 people were killed when a car drove into a crowd at a stadium in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai on Monday.

Police said the driver was unhappy about his divorce.

Since then, questions have been raised about the growing trend of such violence in China. Social media is discussing a social trend called 'revenge on society', where strangers are attacked due to personal grievances.
