4 killed in Russian airstrike in Ukraine

Russia has again launched airstrikes in Ukraine. At least four people were killed and four others wounded in a series of late-night attacks in Kharkiv and Kiev, officials said on Tuesday (October 29). British news agency Reuters reported this.

Russia has been conducting drone attacks in Ukraine almost every night. The Ukrainian military said about 48 drone strikes were carried out the previous night. 26 of them destroyed stars.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekov said on social media Telegram that Russia bombed the city's Osnovyansky district at midnight on Tuesday. Four people lost their lives.

Earlier, Russia launched a guided bomb attack on Kharkiv on Monday. In that attack, the important landmark 'Derzhprom' building of 1920s was severely damaged.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said four people were injured by shrapnel from the crashed drone. One of them was taken to hospital. Besides, a residential building and several cars caught fire in the attack.

Authorities said Ukraine's air force was active in countering Russian drone strikes. The wreckage of the crashed drone hit Sviatoshinsky, west of Kiev. However, there were no immediate reports of damage.

The extent of the Russian attack is still unclear. Meanwhile, the Kremlin did not comment on the attack.

It should be noted that in February 2022, Russia started an all-out military operation in Ukraine. Thousands of people lost their lives in almost two and a half years of war. But the Kremlin has always denied the allegations of targeting civilian targets.
