19 people were injured in a missile attack in central Israel, the country's police agency said. The country's National Ambulance Service claimed that the attack was carried out from Lebanon in the early hours of Saturday (November 2). British news agency Reuters reported this.
The country's military said in a statement that the missiles were fired to attack inside Israel. Warning signals were issued in several areas in the central part of the country. A few missiles were shot down before hitting the target.
The statement also said that a crashed missile was recovered from the site of the attack. The investigation is still ongoing.
Local media and the National Ambulance Service claimed the injured suffered minor to moderate injuries. And two people were mentally disturbed.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq later said in a statement that it had carried out a drone attack on a sensitive installation in northern Israel. However, Reuters could not immediately confirm whether their attack was related to the aforementioned attack.
