1. 70+ elderly people under the ambit of Ayushman scheme: Free treatment in government-private hospitals, 6 crore people benefited.
Now all people of 70 years of age and above will get the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched it on Tuesday 29 October. Under this scheme, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh can be provided every year.
There will be no conditions for free treatment in this scheme. No elderly person will be excluded from the scope of this scheme on the basis of income, pension, bank balance, land or chronic diseases. About 6 crore people above 70 years of age in the country will benefit from this.

2. iPhone exports from India worth ₹50,454 crore in six months: 33% more than last year, likely to reach ₹84,086 crore by FY25
In the six months between April and September, India has exported 'Made in India' iPhones worth $6 billion (about Rs 50,454 crore). This is one third (33%) more than the same period last year.

Tech company Google on Tuesday (October 29) added a new AI feature to its email service Gmail (GMail). The company has updated this tool named Help Me Write. Now with the help of Gemini AI, users will now be able to easily create and edit emails.
The 'Help Me Write' feature in Gmail not only helps in creating email drafts but also provides suggestions for shortening or expanding the message. This makes the quality of conversation more effective. This new tool is available to Google One AI Premium subscribers and users with the Workspace Gemini add-on.

4. Maruti-Suzuki's profit declined by 17% year-on-year: Profit of ₹3,069 crore in the second quarter, ₹3717 crore in Q2 last year; Share fell 6%
Maruti Suzuki has made a profit (standalone net profit) of Rs 3,069 crore in the second quarter (July-September) of the financial year 2024-25. There has been a decline of 17% on annual basis (YoY). In the July-September quarter a year ago, the company had made a profit of Rs 3717 crore.
The company's operational revenue in the July-September quarter stood at Rs 37,203 crore. In July-September 2023, the company had generated revenue of Rs 37,062 crore. There was a slight increase of 0.37% on annual basis.

5. Market recovered 948 points from the day's low: Sensex closed at 80,369 with a rise of 363 points, Nifty also recovered by 326 points.
On Dhanteras day i.e. 29th October, Sensex recovered 948 points from the day's low of 79,421. After the day's trading, it closed at 80,369 with a gain of 363 points.

Adani Enterprises' profit in the July-September quarter has increased almost eight times on an annual basis to Rs 1,742 crore. The company's consolidated net profit in the same quarter a year ago was Rs 228 crore.
At the same time, the income (revenue) of Adani Enterprises in the second quarter has increased by 16% to Rs 22,608 crore. Revenue in the same quarter a year ago was Rs 19,546 crore. The company has released the results for the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 on October 29.
