WhatsApp is introducing the facility of reading the messages sent by others in written form through voice messages. When the new feature is launched, users can easily convert voice messages sent by others to text and read them. As a result, voice messages sent by others can be easily read in the form of messages when there is noise around or while walking.
According to information provided by WhatsApp, the new feature will be rolled out to all users globally in the next few weeks. Initially the facility will be available in certain languages.
To convert voice messages to messages, go to the Settings option and tap on Chats. From the displayed options, click on the voice message transcription option and select the language in which you are interested in viewing the message. Then long press on the specific voice message sent by others and select 'transcribe' option from the menu.
