TikTok has started to operate again in the United States

TikTok service has been stopped in the United States by order of the court. However, the Chinese short video sharing platform said it is working on relaunching its service in the US. The decision comes after a promise by President-elect Donald Trump.

Trump has promised to lift the ban on TikTok on Monday (January 20) under oath.

This information is known from the report of the news agency Reuters.

TikTok said in a statement on Sunday (January 19), 'TikTok service restoration is underway based on an agreement with our service providers. We thank President Trump. He assured that our service providers will not face any punishment. More than 17 million US users and more than 7 million small businesses are connected.'

Earlier last Saturday night, Tik Tok was closed. It was banned citing national security risks. US officials claimed that the platform, owned by the Chinese company ByteDance, is at risk of data smuggling to Americans.

But Trump said, “I will extend the deadline for the law to take effect, so that a compromise can be made to protect national security.” He also said, 'I want the United States to own 50 percent in a joint venture.'

Trump also said that an executive order will be issued. It will be informed that if any organization works with TikTok, they will not face any problem.

In a message from Tiktok last Saturday night, users were informed, 'The law to ban Tiktok in the United States has come into force. Unfortunately, this means you won't be able to use TikTok from now on. But we are fortunate that President Trump has promised to work to restart TikTok. Please wait.'

The TikTok app was also removed from Apple and Google's app stores on Saturday.
