The new chairperson of BIGF is Mohammad Aminul Hakim

The Executive Committee of Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum (BIGF) has been constituted for the period 2024-2026. Mohammad Aminul Hakim, Chief Executive Officer of Amber IT Limited, has been elected as the Chairperson in the new Executive Committee. The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a multistakeholder governance group for policy dialogue on Internet governance issues.

The Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum (BIGF) was established to advance the United Nations Internet Governance agenda. The Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum is a multi-stakeholder platform that conducts various activities in addition to consultation with the government for the development of the Internet.

Mohammad Aminul Hakim, the new chairperson of BIGF, said, 'Not only in the country, but also international policies should be fixed regarding the Internet. So that there is no discrimination in this sector and internet policies should be fixed with multistake holders. We will work on these. Besides, we want to do seminars, workshops etc. on new technologies such as IoT, AI, Big Data etc.'

Other members of the executive committee are Vice Chairman Saidur Rahman (General Manager, Bangladesh Submarine Cables Plc) and Md. Saimum Reza Talukder (Senior Lecturer, School of Law, BRAC University). Secretary General Mohammad Abdul Haque Anu (Executive Secretary, Computer World) and Executive Member AHM Bazlur Rahman (Chief Executive Officer, BNNRC).
