On Wednesday, the UK-based Independent said the BYD's new super e-platform provided 4,000 kW charging speed, which is four times higher than the Tesla super charger owned by Elon Mask.
The company said at a live stream event at BYD's headquarters in Shenzhen, China, that the new technology will completely eliminate the distance concerns over users during extensive production travel.
Initially, this sophisticated charging technology will be used in the latest Han-L and Tang-El model of BYD. And in the beginning, these cars will only run in China.
Demand for electric cars in China has increased drastically in recent years. Currently, more than 2 million battery operated cars are operating on the road in the country.
BYD is currently the most popular electric car brand in China. Despite relatively low market shares in Europe and absent in the United States, the company surpassed Tesla in 2021 and made its debut as the world's largest electric car maker.
According to data from the International Energy Organization (IEA), the rise in the sale of global electric cars has begun to decrease the demand for gasoline vehicles. Electric cars were only 5 percent of the new cars sold in the world in 2021.
On the other hand, the sales of petrol -powered vehicles have dropped from 1 crore 5 lakh to 1 crore 20 million between 20 and 2021.

BYD founder Wang Chuanfu said in the Live Stream event that the cost of Han-El and Tang-El models will start at around US $ 1,000.
