South Korea will make 5,000 skilled workers every year in the AI ​​sector


South Korea announced a new strategy on Tuesday for the development of artificial intelligence (AI) industry. The goal of this new initiative of the government is to create 1,000 skilled AI experts every year. Mayor and Sea-Hun announced the strategy at the AI ​​conference held at the KOX Convention Center in the south of Coul city. There are seven main initiatives for strengthening AI technology, including talent creation, infrastructure construction, investment increase, cooperation in industry and globalization.

Meanwhile, Boston Consulting Group, one of the leading consulting companies in the United States, identified South Korea as the second class AI country in the world. Where Canada, China, Singapore, Britain and the United States are in the top position. This has led to a feeling of crisis in Korea.

Seoul city government has announced that they will create 1,000 AI technology skilled workers every year, of which 1,000 will be trained from the Seoul Software Academy and 1,000 from the university. From next year to complete the AI-related Master's Degree Program, the government will launch a new scholarship worth $ 1 million ($ 100,000) to 5 people.

As part of the infrastructure development, the so -called 'Seoul AI Tech City' will be created in Yangoza in South Coul. The construction of this technology will begin in 2021 and there will be domestic and international graduate schools, world -class research institutes and cultural and residential places.

In addition, an AI Fund of 1 billion on one price will be set up next year to increase investment in the AI ​​sector.
