After Apple's iOS 18 update, iPhone users are facing problems in saving edited photos. This error is often seen after the new update. A message is showing on the screen when saving an image after editing on iPhone. It says, 'There is a problem saving this image. Please try again later.'
After this message appears on the screen, you have to tap on the 'Cancel' option. If you do not tap this option, you cannot exit the editing interface or the editing page. As a result the edited image is not saved in the gallery. Due to this error users are facing problem in saving images.
iPhone 16 model users have complained more about this issue. However, this error has also been observed in other older models. Technology website MacRumors has checked and found that all iPhones that have received the iOS 18 update have this problem.
Users first reported the bug last September. Still this error remains. Even iPhones with iOS 18.2 beta have seen this error. Some users were facing this problem on iPhone before iOS 18 update. But this error is appearing frequently now.
It is not yet known for sure what is causing the problem on the iPhone and not all users see this error on all photos. This could be an issue related to Live Photos or iCloud Photos. Again, many iPhones show this error in all photos of a particular day. Apple is aware of this issue and is working on it.
To get rid of this problem the edited image should be saved as a 'still' image. However, the image loses its live photo and photographic style characteristics.
