It was very difficult to write Bangla or create a website in Bangla at the beginning of the entrance to the Internet of the people of Bangladesh. At that time, there was a picture of Bangla writing or PDF on the website. Bangla writing was absolutely impossible for e -mail.
Then the popular software of Bangla writing on the computer is victory. But it was not a job to write Bangla on the Internet. The victory was gradually becoming uncommon because there was no Unicode. That new time demanded 'Avra'. A young man named Mehdi Hasan Khan created Avro software on a completely personal initiative. This is the first Unicode Bangla writing software. Not only that, he spread it for free. In addition it is an open source. That is, its source code is open. Anyone can contribute to its change and development.
Avro's popularity is now skyrocketing. Since Unicode is based on the Internet, the benefits of writing on the Internet and the opportunity to write in phonetic methods (Roman fonts on the keyboard) in Bengal – these two reasons do not have any Bengali typing software in the popularity of the younger generation. Now Bangla is being written with Avro on all social platforms including blogs, Facebook.
Avro
Today's Avro Keyboard software is the result of a person's 3 -year labor, especially one person. Mehdi Hasan Khan started computer programming from the 8th grade. He learned programming at home by buying various programming books.
Mehdi Hassan Khan was born in Dhaka on July 23, 2005. Mehdi started computer programming at the Ideal School and College in Dhaka. He was admitted to Notre Dame College after passing the secondary. He was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College in the 21st. Mehdi went to the Ekushey Book Fair of the Bangla Academy in February that year. There, Bangla Innovation Through Open Source – Visit the Story of Bayos and saw the 'First Pure Bangla' website in his language. You also saw Bangla writing in Unicode. They also created an entire operating system called Unibangla. Of course, it was basically a version of Linux. Download them from the Open type font website back home. But it is just for Linux customized in Bengali. The character chart is to write Bangla by clicking the mouse. The popular operating system was not this facility for Windows.
It was then that Mehdi decided to create Bangla writing software for Windows. He installed that font of Bengali Linux on his computer. The popular programming language of the time was written by Visual Basic DotNet, a Unicode -based Bangla software. He also created the phonetic method. It was an app for Windows operating system.
Mehdi Hasan later sent his own prototype in a Bangla font competition in India. They said the application was frequently crashed.
Mehdi Hasan worked to repair the prototype bug again at night. Mehdi wrote all the codes of Classic Visual Basi, excluding the dotnet. Later, the code is written again in Delphi/Object Pascal. Avro is currently in this framework.
Mehdi Hasan published the software called Avro on March 27, the Great Independence Day. Mehdi is the word 'Avra' in the dictionary. Avro means sky. In addition to Unicode, open source software, so Mehdi chose the synonym of the open sky. Mehdi also published a website so that everyone can collect directly from Avro Internet. Its name is Omicronlab.com. He took the name Omicron from Muhammad Zafar Iqbal's book 'Omicronic Transformation'.
Vijay Bangla was a keyboard lay -out for writing in the first version of Avr. Many used to write Bangla in Roman letters for fear of memorizing the keyboard. For them, Mehdi himself made Avro Easy to type Bangla easily. The era of the online forum is at that time. So the forum was opened on the Omicron website. Avro's users in the forum used to give feedback, report bugs, and questions. Later he joined Avro – Rifat Un Nabi, Tanbin Islam, Shabab Mustafa, Omar Osman – later Sarim Khan. They all work for Avro as volunteers.
Gradually, Avro Easy, National, Prabhat, Munir Optima, Uni Vijay (not it for 25) Bangla keyboard lay -out. Currently Avra 1.1. 5 version can be dropped from Omicron's website. Yet it can be used for free. Avro's slogan is, 'The language is open.'
Avro quickly became popular. The monthly magazine 'Computer Tumoro' on the popular technology of the time was reported by Mehdi Avro. With that number of magazines, a copy of Avr's CD is given free.
Avro Keyboard Portable Edition was opened for free use in the 21st. Avro's source code is open, that is, anyone can participate in its development from the Githab repository.
It should be noted that after Version 1, Avro was converted from freeware to open source and it was licensed under the 'Mozilla Public License' (MPL).
Having an open source is recognized as 100 % spyware/adware/virus free software in Avro Softpidia. Microsoft's online museum includes Avro Keyboard in the list of solutions to indic languages. The Bangladesh Election Commission uses Avr for the creation of national identity cards.
In addition, Avro has been included on the Unicode Organization web site as a Bengali keyboard resource. Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services or Basis awarded Avro Team for special contribution to Bangla Information Technology.
The Ministry of Culture has announced the name of Mehdi Hasan Khan for the Ekushey Padak in the Science and Technology Department for 2021 after a long wait.

Avro and victory conflict
The writing of Bangla on the computer was introduced in the 5th. And the start of the Macintosh computer's hand. At that time, Bangla started writing Bangla on Macintosh computer with a martyr script. The first Bangla software was the inventor of Dr. Saif Ud Doha Shaheed. However, the martyr script could not go too far. Victory quickly occupied his position.
Vijay Bangla software begins on May 7. Anand Computer Keyboard unveiled December 5th. Anand is the founder and proprietor of Computers Mostafa Jabbar. Vijay Bangla computing the publishing industry has revolutionized the industry. Until 1, separate software was operational for DOS and Windows -based platforms. Vijay software was developed for personal computers on March 7, 2005. And from this time, the use of Bangla continued to be equally in Windows and Macintosh.
Unicode technology has served as the largest controller to ease the use of Bangla language in the digital world. Being a Unicode -based software, Avro has been playing a strong role in Bengali computing.
But the proprietor of victory and BCS president Mostafa Jabbar is the first foot in the Daily Janakantha on April 7, the first foot in the era of cyber war. Writing an article under the title 'Twenty -one Century'. The key point of the article was that many government websites were hacking at that time. However, Avro Keyboard, the UN UNDP and the Election Commission pulled the Election Commission. Referring to Avro as 'pirated software', he said that these hackers have shown extreme expertise in spreading the pirated version of his victory software on the Internet. UNDP's name is also associated with the help of these hackers and pirates. UNDP has the highest contribution to the inclusion of a pirated Bangla software called Avro to the Election Commission.
In response to his writing, Avro users storm protests. It was condemned and protested on Facebook, blogs and various forums. Some sites also change their banners to protest.
But Mostafa Jabbar did not disappear. He made a written complaint at the Copyright Office against Mehdi Hasan Khan, chief executive of Avro software maker Omicron Lab. The Copyright Office gives Mehdi notice to show cause. Later, Mehdi Hasan Khan and Mostafa Jabbar negotiated. Avro Keyboard software is removed from Unibi Joy Lay -Out.
It is to be noted that in the preparation of the National Identity Card in the 21st, the Election Commission uses Avro for free instead of 'commercial victory'. The state survives Tk 5 crore. Many say that Avro is a Unicode, a free source software, but the project is behind Mustafa Jabbar's behavior. Mostafa Jabbar also mentioned in the public of the public, that the use of Avr instead of victory in the Election Commission was a loss of around Tk 5 crore.
Conquest
The Android version of Vijay Bangla software was opened on the Google Play Store on February 7. Then Mostafa Jabbar gave the status on Facebook. In that status, Vijay Bangla keyboard lay -out has been accused of illegally using these national apps.
Later, Google sent a separate e -mail notice to Rhythmic and Unibi Keyboard developers. It is said that Google has accused Google of violation of the Mostafa Jabbar app. And in view of this allegation, Google has removed the app by the DMCA law in the United States.
Later, the Rhythmic Keyboard was released again on the Playstore with a new la -out.
Mostafa Jabbar has accused Avro's copy of the keyboard lay -out. However, the allegations of Vijay's copyright (1) or patent (25) were not cleared. Claiming the patent of victory is weak because there are plenty of patents by 20. The issue of Vijay's L -out copyright is also controversial. Many people think that the difference in victory with Muni's lay -out is little. However, in the same logic, the Unibi -winning keyboard was added to Ava, which had a few letters in the le -out of victory. In addition, because of the open source software, its layouts can be changed at will.
