Telecom operator Grameenphone received a memorandum of honors for customer service in gestures of speech and hearing. The company received the award in the 'Recognition for Accessible Service' category through the 'Signline' service. The memorandum was awarded at an event organized by the Aspire to Innovate (AUTI) program, UNDP Bangladesh and Friendship (INGO) on Thursday (May 7th) at the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) auditorium in the capital. The memorial was received by Grameenphone, the operator's chief corporate affairs officer (CCAO) Tanvir Mohammad. Faiz Ahmed Tayyab, Special Assistant, Chief Advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
Grameenphone has been providing 'signal' services since 2021 to provide easy services for people with speech and hearing. Through this service, people with speech and hearing can receive customer service through video calls. All agents of the Grameenphone Experience Center have received preliminary training in the gesture to ensure effective assistance. Grameenphone first launched such service on the digital platform as a telecom operator.
This year, in addition to Grameenphone services from 'Signline' service, Ananya is always receiving necessary services. Regarding this achievement, Grameenphone Chief Corporate Affairs Officer (CCAO) Tanvir Mohammad said, “Grameenphone is proud of receiving the honor for signal service. We believe, the digital world is everyone. Since the launch of 2021, the signal provides the necessary services not only for speech and hearing people, but also for the need for easy communication. This honor, organized by the AUTI Program, UNDP Bangladesh and Friendship (INGO), will inspire us to work more with specially capable people in the future. '
