Recently users noticed a strange problem with OpenAI's popular chatbot ChatGPT. The artificial intelligence (AI)-based chatbot stops responding when asked about certain names on ChatGPT. They are Alexander Hanoff, Jonathan Turley, Brian Hood, Jonathan Zitren, David Faber and Guido Scorja. This issue has come up in various media including social media reddit.
When typing those names into the chatbot, ChatGPT says, 'I am unable to produce a response' and 'There was an error generating a response'. Previously, asking the name 'Dave Mayer' in ChatGPT would cause the chatbot to stop responding.
This is different from other known issues with chatgpt. When the user logs into the mobile app for the first time, a warning appears. This notice states that ChatGPT may occasionally hallucinate or provide false information. But in the case of the name 'David Meyer', the matter was quite unusual. This particular type of problem, which creates curiosity among internet users.
Tech journalist Brian Lunduk said in a video that this name and similar names have probably been removed from ChatGPT. He surmises, 'It could be that someone named David Mayer requested 'Right Too Forgotten' rights to remove this name from OpenAI. Right to be Forgotten is a European law that allows individuals to request the removal of search engine results with their name. So it is likely that some people whose names were in ChatGPT's database, have requested OpenAI to remove their names or taken legal action.
However, OpenAI has not commented anything on this problem with ChatGPT. However, the company resolved the problem of David Mayer last Tuesday. Now chatgpt knows which David Mayer the user wants to know about when asked who this name is. Later gives information about him.
But the names Alexander Hanoff, Jonathan Turley, Brian Hood, Jonathan Zitren, David Faber and Guido Scorja – still have problems with ChatGPT.
