After winning the regional phase of Huawei ICT Competition 2023-24, the Bangladesh team went to China to participate in the global round.
The group of three students of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) left Dhaka for China on Tuesday (May 21) night.
Those students are – Shubham Agarwala, Rakesh Kar and Md. Mazharul Islam.
Earlier, the team placed third in the Asia Pacific (APAC) round of the Huawei ICT Competition in Jakarta, Indonesia, competing against 6,400 students from 14 countries. In continuation of this, they are going to participate in the final stage in Shenzhen, China.
In a press release, Huawei has organized the Huawei ICT Competition in Bangladesh for the second time with the aim of building a strong ICT ecosystem in the country. More than 1,000 students from 25 universities participated in this year's competition, which started last October. After the start of Huawei ICT Competition, this is the first time that the final stage will be held directly through such a big event. Huawei organizes various such competitions to accelerate the transformation of Smart Bangladesh by further enhancing the technical skills and knowledge of the youth.
